A note on Tres Leches
Tres Leches is one of our most-requested flavours, and yes, we build tiered cakes with it. We have made three-tier Tres Leches cakes. The one thing we do differently is soak it less heavily than a single-tier Tres Leches, because the lower tiers have to carry the weight above them and stay stable through delivery and setting up. It still tastes like Tres Leches. It also stays refrigerated until close to serving, so we plan the delivery time around the cutting rather than dropping it off early.
Sizing and budget
Tell us your guest count and your budget band and we will design to fit it. There are more levers than people expect, tier height, fondant versus buttercream, how much hand-modelled work goes on the cake. A striking cake at a sensible price is usually a matter of putting the detail where the photos will actually be taken. See pricing for starting bands.
Common questions
How much cake do I need for a quinceañera?
Most quinceañeras run between 80 and 150 guests. A three-tier cake covers roughly 75 to 110 servings depending on tier sizes. If your guest list is larger, we usually pair a tiered display cake with matching sheet cake so nobody misses out. See the serving guide for exact numbers.
¿Hacen pasteles de tres leches para quinceañeras?
Sí. Tres Leches es uno de nuestros sabores más pedidos y lo hacemos en pasteles de varios pisos, hasta de tres. En un pastel de pisos lo remojamos un poco menos que uno de un solo piso para que aguante el peso y se mantenga estable. Necesita refrigeración hasta poco antes de servir, y lo conversamos al cotizar.
Can you match my dress and my court colours?
Yes, and it is worth sending a photo of the dress rather than describing the colour. Blush, rose gold and champagne all read very differently in fondant than they do in fabric. We match to the photo.
Can you make a cake with a crown, or a figure of the quinceañera?
Both are common requests. Crowns, fleur-de-lis detail, sugar figures in a matching dress, staircases and a full display of individual cakes: we do all of it. The cake at the top of this page has a hand-modelled figure and gold crown.
How far in advance should I order?
Two to three months for a Saturday date. Quinceañera season overlaps with wedding season in Tampa, so spring dates fill early.
