Whatever the age, whatever the theme
Birthday cakes are the bulk of what we do, and they range enormously, a smooth buttercream cake with a gold drip for a milestone dinner, a neon splatter cake for a twelve-year-old, a full sculpted Minion. The design follows the person.
If your theme is a character, an object or something we would need to carve, look at our sculpted cakes instead, that is where the 3D work lives.
Picking a size
Most home birthday parties are covered by a single-tier 8-inch or 9-inch cake, which serves roughly 20 to 28 people as a two-layer cake. For 40 or more, a two-tier cake or a cake plus cupcakes works better. The serving guide has exact numbers by pan size.
Flavours
Any of our cake flavours can be paired with any of our fillings, so a Red Velvet cake with peanut butter filling is entirely reasonable if that is what the birthday person wants. Tres Leches, Marble and Oreo are perennial favourites here. See the full flavours and fillings list.
Ordering
Send the date, guest count, theme and any reference photo through the quote form, and you will have a firm price within 24 hours. For orders inside a week, text 813-421-1095, email is slower and we would rather just tell you yes or no.
Common questions
How much notice do you need for a birthday cake?
Two to three weeks is comfortable. We can often take short-notice orders inside a week depending on how the schedule looks. Text rather than emailing if your date is close, and we will tell you straight away.
What is the smallest cake you make?
A 6-inch round, which serves roughly 12 to 14 people as a two-layer cake. Below that we would suggest cupcakes or a smash cake for a first birthday.
Can you put a photo on the cake?
Yes, we use edible image printing for photos and logos, and hand-cut fondant for character artwork. Hand-cut work looks considerably better in photos and is what we recommend for anything that will be the centrepiece.
Do you make cupcakes to go with the cake?
Yes. Matching cupcakes are a common way to add servings without a bigger cake, and they photograph well on a dessert table. Ask for them in your quote request.
Can you do dairy-free, gluten-free or allergy-safe cakes?
We can accommodate some dietary requests. Tell us exactly what you need when you enquire. Please note we bake in a kitchen that handles wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts and soy, so we cannot guarantee a cake is free of traces of any allergen. If an allergy is severe, we will tell you honestly that we are not the right choice.
