Cakes for the whole first year
Showers, gender reveals, christenings, bautizos and first birthdays all land in the same part of our calendar, and they share a look, softer colours, hand-modelled animals, sugar babies and ruffled buttercream.
Gender reveals, done properly
The mechanics matter here. Send the result to us directly, many parents have the sonographer email us so nobody in the family risks seeing it. We confirm the colour with you once in writing, colour the interior, and then never mention it again. The cake is delivered boxed so the inside is not visible until it is cut.
Matching your theme
Send a photo of the invitation. Elephants, nautical themes, woodland animals, monsters and simple ruffle tiers are all frequent requests, and pulling the exact colours from your stationery is what makes the dessert table look pulled together rather than approximate.
Sizing
Baby showers tend to run 25 to 50 guests. A single tier covers the smaller end comfortably; a two-tier cake covers 40 to 60. Adding matching cupcakes is a cheap way to stretch servings and fill out a table. Check the serving guide for exact numbers, then send us your details.
Common questions
How does a gender reveal cake work?
You send us the result, usually a sealed envelope photo forwarded straight to us, or your doctor emails it directly so nobody in the family sees it. We colour the inside of the cake pink or blue and finish the outside neutrally. The cut reveals it.
Can you keep the result secret from us?
Yes, and we take it seriously. We confirm the colour once in writing and then do not mention it again. The cake is boxed so the interior is not visible when we hand it over.
Do you make smash cakes for first birthdays?
Yes, usually a 4-inch or 6-inch cake matching the main cake, made for the baby to destroy. They are inexpensive to add on and make for good photos.
Can you match my shower invitations or decorations?
Send us a picture of the invitation and we will pull the colours and motifs from it. Matching the invitation is one of the easiest ways to make the dessert table look deliberate.
How much cake for a baby shower?
Most showers run 25 to 50 guests. A single-tier 9-inch or 10-inch cake covers the smaller end; a two-tier cake covers 40 to 60. See the serving guide.
